PROPERTY AND SURVEYING JOBS FAQs

Your salary will vary depending on your experience, but you could earn on average: 

  • Newly trained surveyors can earn €25,000-€32,000. 
  • Trained with experience surveyors can earn €32,000-€42,000. 
  • Senior or chartered surveyors can earn €50,000-€75,000. 

You can enter the property and surveying sector via a degree or a professional qualification that has been approved by the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland. You could study surveying, construction and civil or building engineering subjects. 

As a surveyor, your role is to inspect and check buildings to identify any possible structural damage or loss of integrity.
