How much do health and safety jobs typically earn? A typical salary you can earn in a health and safety related role is €35,000-€55,000 per year, but managers – and especially directors - can expect to earn far more than this.
A health and safety manager working in Dublin could earn €75,000-€85,000, while a director could command a six-figure salary.

To work in health and safety, you will normally be required to achieve at least a basic level of qualification from a recongised provider, such as the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH).
Both providers offer health and safety qualifications that range from entry-level certificates to Diplomas.
As a health and safety professional, you’ll be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation. This will typically involve developing effective policies and procedures and carrying out risk assessments. You will also need to compile statistics on accidents and injuries and manage them accordingly.
