We’ve invested in lifelong partnerships among Irish businesses and individuals that empower you to succeed. Whether you’re seeking a new job opportunity, or have a gap to fill, we help you get where you want to go.

Our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion

If we’re to continue to thrive in the continually changing world of work, we know we need to maximise our people’s potential and ensure we continue to attract diverse talent. Our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) is fundamental to unlocking that potential.

The actions that we are taking to progress our DE&I agenda around the world are detailed in 'Our Hays Promise', which is our commitment to making Hays an organisation to which everyone feels they belong. As part of this promise, we have spearheaded a number of initatives, just a few of which include rolling out conscious inclusion training for everyone at manager-level and above, enhancing our family friendly leave and pay provisions and launching an inclusion hub – with resources available to all employees. Our commitment to driving more equal gender representation at a senior level is also moving in the right direction – 47% of our senior leadership team in Ireland are female.

Powering change through partnerships

It’s not just our employees we want to serve, though. As the world’s largest specialist recruiter, we’re in a unique position to enable real change: both on a local and national scale. We’re deeply embedded in the communities we live and work in, and our commitment to driving diversity, equity and inclusion can be seen through our thriving partnerships:

  • The Open Doors Initiative

The Open Doors Initiative is a group of over 95 companies and NGOs, who work with the government to create pathways to education, employment and entrepreneurship for marginalised people in Ireland. In Ireland today, these groups face higher barriers to employment than most others. Many are cut out of work, even during the recent times of nearly full employment. The Open Doors Initiative offers online training, mentorships, assisted learning, seminars and in-house training for existing employees on a range of subjects and can assist with funding for training courses.

Over the last year, we have worked with Open Doors to deliver training sessions to our DE&I Council and the wider Ireland team about cultural awareness and we are engaging with them to deliver further training on different initiatives over the next year.

  • Paralympics Ireland

Paralympics Ireland is the official body for Ireland that organises and supports the Irish team at the Paralympic Games, which take place every four years alongside the Olympic Games.

Hays Ireland have been official partners of Paralympics Ireland since 2022, providing recruitment and key hire support to the team while assisting Paralympic athletes as they transition from their sporting career into the workplace. We have placed a number of professionals on the Paralympics Ireland team, while launching a variety of partnership activity to progress a positive inclusivity agenda for those living with disabilities in Ireland.

  • Down Syndrome Ireland

We have recently partnered with Down Syndrome Ireland with the aim of raising vital funds for the charity along with supporting their members with Down Syndrome on their journey within the world of work. As part of the partnership, we aim to support the charity’s aim of challenging inaccurate stereotypes that people with Down Syndrome face and to play our part in championing acceptance and inclusion for people with Down Syndrome, specifically within the world of work.

  • Jobcare

We provide employment charity Jobcare with support on their Jobnet programme, which aims to equip unemployed people with the skills, clarity and confidence to secure appropriate work. Hays team members regularly volunteer their time to provide mock interviews, run through interview prep and provide LinkedIn networking tips as part of this programme, providing their world-of-work insights to help transform the lives of programme users and support them on their career journeys.

  • Investors in Diversity Gold Accredited

The cumulation of our commitment to DE&I at Hays has seen us recognised by the Irish Centre for Diversity. We were 1 of only 11 corporates to be awarded Gold status in the Investors in Diversity (IiD) accreditation, which is Ireland’s leading DE&I accreditation mark.
