Management Accountant

Our client is a prominent player in the construction industry, known for delivering high-quality projects across various sectors. They specialise in both residential and commercial construction, offering a comprehensive range of services from initial design and planning to final execution and project management. This company is based in Dublin North and there is parking available.

Your new role
This role involves collaborating with all departments and senior management to share financial information. Key responsibilities include managing and maintaining accounting software, assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts and reports, and contributing to the development and management of financial systems and policies. The role also requires analysing costs and revenues to ensure financial integrity, ensuring compliance with various revenue regulations (including prem taxes, VAT, and RCT), and supporting the annual audit process. Additionally, the position involves developing expertise in construction finance issues and supporting the payroll function.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate should have 3 to 5 years of accountancy experience, preferably within the construction sector. They must hold a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) and be proficient in IT, particularly MS Excel and accounting software. Strong organisational skills are essential, including the ability to manage deadlines and prioritise tasks. The candidate should be a team player who can take direction but also work independently when needed. Additionally, they should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive salary of €60,000 - €70,000 depending on your experience. The position offers a pension plan, annual salary reviews, and 21 days of leave, which increases to 26 days after 5 years of service. Additional perks include free parking and a hybrid working model, allowing for 2 days of remote work per week. Initially, the role will be fully office-based for the first 6 months to facilitate settling in and training. The culture is sociable and there is a good team network across the company.
