Your new role

  • Corporate Communications & Media Relations: Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to build trust and visibility, manage media relations and crises, craft communication materials, and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms. Responsibilities also include maintaining a press office, providing out-of-hours media support, and training advocates for media engagement.
  • Public Affairs & Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate relationships with government entities and stakeholders, monitor legislative changes affecting road safety, prepare policy briefs, and design stakeholder engagement strategies. Collaborate on initiatives such as advocacy programs and youth forums, and represent the organisation in forums and events.
  • Campaigns & Digital Communications: Create impactful public awareness campaigns, produce engaging digital and traditional content, align communications with organisational goals, and measure campaign effectiveness for continual improvement.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A relevant degree (e.g., Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or Political Science).
  • Professional experience in corporate communications, public affairs, or media relations.
  • In-depth understanding of Irish government processes, public policy, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Exceptional skills in writing, editing, and verbal communication.
  • Hands-on experience in managing media relations and serving as a spokesperson.
  • Proven ability to craft and implement effective strategic communications plans.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder management and building professional relationships.
  • Capacity to perform well under pressure and navigate crisis communication scenarios adeptly.
