A mechanical HVAC / Piping Supervisor is required in Sligo/West to work on large construction projects.

Your new company
A market leading mechanical contractor that works on award-winning projects across Ireland. Due to increased growth in the west of Ireland, they are now seeking to recruit a Mechanical HVAC/Piping Supervisor where you will report to the mechanical project manager and will work with a multi-functional team in delivering projects to quality, on time and to budget. The successful candidate will work on a large multi-million project in the north-west / Connacht region.

Duties:
  • Coordinating and planning of resources including labour, materials and subcontractors
  • Manage piping and welding subcontractors (process and high purity)
  • General knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC, building services, utilities & process piping systems
  • Interpret schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Manage and drive a team to meet all project requirements and deadlines
  • Ensure the adherence to safety and quality standards
  • Report variations and delays to the Project Manager.
  • Prepare relevant reports
  • Ensure the adherence to safety and quality standards
  • Reporting on progress
  • Ensure the quality of work is maintained throughout installation
  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance by direct staff and subcontractors
  • Regular reviews of working practices to help improve site safety
Requirements:
  • A Mechanical Degree or Trade qualification is essential.
  • 5+ years’ experience with an Irish or UK contractor in a Mechanical Supervisor role.
  • Experience in Process Piping systems on Pharmaceutical / Medical Devices / Industrial / Data Centre or similar projects is preferable.
  • Fluent English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Navisworks.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines.
