Structural Design Technician required for a construction company in Galway

Your new role

As a Structural Hollowcore Design Technician, you will have the chance to work on a wide range of challenging projects from one off houses to large scale commercial, residential, educational and industrial projects. In this role you will be responsible for a variety of structural projects for clients, seeing the project from design through to production. In this challenging role, you will prepare structural calculations for a wide range of projects, including multi-storey buildings and carparks, and design high quality pre-cast products that meet specifications. Liaising with customers and in-house Design Teams, you will respond to a variety of technical queries and provide key project guidance.


What you'll need to succeed

  • The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years' experience in a design office.
  • Previous experience within a precast design office, ideally within the precast flooring sector
  • Competent in AutoCAD
  • AutoFloor experience is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • The ability to manage and prioritise your daily workload
  • Focus on deadlines
  • The ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative
