Our client is a civil engineering contractor in the West of Ireland. They are involved in various groundworks / utility contracts throughout the west. They are now seeking to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer / Setting Out Engineer. As well as experience in setting out, you will be required to have a track record of managing staff on site. You will ideally have some experience in kerbing, drainage, water-mains, ducting, cabling etc. The position is based in Galway.

The Role:

· Overseeing civil engineering works in Galway and ensuring they are completed on time and within budget

· Experience of kerbing, drainage, water mains, ducting, cabling, groundwork etc

· You will be responsible for some setting out and managing the workforce on site.

· Hold a degree / diploma in civil engineering.

· Experience of setting out, AutoCAD

· Excellent attention to detail regarding required construction documentation, procedures and adherence to current building and civils regulations.

· Keeping safety files and recording information
