This client is a multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm based in Sligo. They specialise in renewable energy, water supply, wastewater treatment, and the provision of planning and environmental services. With over 70 years of experience, they have established themselves as a leader in civil, structural, and environmental engineering.

As a Senior Engineer, you will be managing, implementing, and overseeing the successful delivery of the projects and team performance in the mid-west region. You will partner with all levels of teams to gather and understand operational information related to the projects to ensure on time and on budget delivery for the project. Carry out regular site inspections. Preparation and review detailed design calculations and reports. Liaison with REVIT and CAD technicians to produce drawings that accurately reflect design outputs. Accurately defining and monitoring specific project goals. Lead and co-ordinate the work of the team on client projects, effectively prioritising workload and delegating on the basis of appropriate experience. Support the Project Director and following the completion of the list of outstanding issues after provisional completion. You will also be responsible for the successful delivery of the project through leadership, management, technical & engineering expertise throughout the project life cycle.

You will have a level 8 degree in civil, structural or a relevant engineering discipline. Design consultancy experience in Ireland. Excellent leadership and communication skills are required along with extensive knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office, MS Project, etc. Advantage to be proficient in MicroStation and Rebar; Microdrainage or other Utility programs for Drainage and Structural design software. Civil/Structural Design experience on building projects (residential, mixed use developments, industrial and commercial) in the public and private sector. Proficient in structural design to Eurocodes and British Standards. You will have the ability to work well with people and develop working relationships. Excellent design and drawing skills. Well-developed knowledge and understanding of building and planning standards.
