For the past 42 years, the client has consistently supported Irish customers, building a solid business foundation and customer base. As the company aims to maximise the market's potential, it is time to enhance sales activities through dedicated efforts and focused development.
Your new role
Sales/Service Engineer to be based locally, who will independently drive new sales in Ireland (particularly in Western ROI and surrounding counties) with exceptional commitment and substantial sales experience. The successful candidate will report directly to the Country Sales Manager for ROI.
Your responsibilities - Developing sales of Danfoss VSD products through strengthening relationships with existing customers and acquiring new ones.
- Broadening the customer base in Ireland, especially in undeveloped market segments.
- Maintaining and growing customer accounts to maximise turnover and margins through regular interactions and providing solutions.
- Enhancing technical knowledge through training events at Greenville IDC Belfast and Danfoss Drives European manufacturing facilities.
- Attending exhibitions and seminars to improve product and market knowledge.
- Providing timely written feedback on customer visits (monthly meetings).
- Preparing forecasts and budgets for the designated territory.
- Offering technical and commercial advice to customers regarding VSD product applications and benefits.
What you'll need to succeed
- Electrical Experience: Candidates should have both commercial and technical skills to support existing customers.
- Languages: Fluency in English is essential.
- Experience:
- A proven track record for selling Variable Speed Drives.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role.
- The ability to work unsupervised from home initially, with support from Greenville IDC teams in Belfast and Dundalk.
- Above-average literacy and numeracy skills.
- Professional familiarity with Microsoft IT systems is essential.
