Senior Bookkeeper - Dublin 2, Permanent, €50,000

This well known Dublin 2 based company has been operational for over 30 years, and are a staple of Dublin city centre. Working within the retail industry, they have grown from strength to strength over the 30 years they are operational and are now looking forward to hiring an experienced bookkeeper to join the city centre team. Given this role is within the retail industry, it will be a fully office-based role.
Duties
Daily cash reconciliation from sales - credit and cash
Cash forecasting
Bank accounts management
Daily accounts payable management, including vendor account set up, liaising with suppliers for any discrepancy or query resolution and processing all invoices
Accounts receivable invoice processing and assessing outstanding debts, payment terms and risk of new accounts
Project costing assistance with the company accountant.
Profit and loss reporting
Balance sheet reconciliations
Month-end reporting
Other ad-hoc admin and office management duties as required

Requirements
5+ years experience working in SME and small businesses, ideally within the retail or hospitality industry
Prior experience working in a similar role with experience processing monthly accounts to trial balance stage
Fluent spoken and written English
The ability to work well on your own initiative and take on projects within the accountancy team as they arise
Exposure to Sage accounts production is an advantage.
