Job opening for a Registered Architect to join a multidisciplinary practice in Galway
Your new company
This multi-disciplinary consultancy in Galway City has an opening for a Registered Architect to join their company and build a team around them. Examples of their work can be seen across the region, including residential developments, healthcare, education and civil projects. The role will combine nationwide design opportunities, with an opportunity to organically grow and lead an Architectural section, in partnership with the Managing Director and other Directors, within an already thriving business.
Your new role
The successful Architect will have a minimum of 2–3 years’ post-registration experience, preferably within a design office or multidisciplinary organisation where they have taken projects from inception through to completion on site either on their own or as part of a team. Projects will be varied in type and size, ranging from one-off houses to large scale mixed use commercial, industrial and residential developments. Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous experience on public and private projects across all stages. This is an ideal opportunity for the right candidate to grow into a role of responsibility, build and develop a team within an expanding practice.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a Degree in Architecture or a relevant discipline. You must be a registered Architect either with RIAI or RIBA, ideally 2+ years post registration experience in a practice. Managing projects including attending site meetings and carrying out inspections. Experience in construction detailing is essential and in preparing planning applications is an advantage. Strong knowledge of Irish Planning & Building Regulations. Strong AutoCAD proficiency, Revit & BIM is highly desired. A proactive approach with an ability to adapt to changing scenarios. Proven client liaison and verbal and written communication skills. A successful track record working closely in partnership with clients and contractors.
