Your new company

Your new company is a leading organisation within the utility's industry. They are committed to growth, innovation and sustainability continues to be top of their agenda. They now require a Tender Delivery Procurement Lead to join their team in Cork on a temporary basis.

Your new role

The role involves ensuring tenders and contracts comply with EU Procurement Regulations and internal policies, providing procurement expertise and governance, and preparing and overseeing strategic tender documentation and processes. It includes guiding evaluation teams, managing supplier award processes, and acting as an escalation point for the Tender Delivery Team. The position requires maintaining effective internal controls, providing high-quality support to customers, and ensuring compliance with the Supply Chain Governance Framework. Responsibilities also include delivering tenders on schedule, collaborating with managers to drive efficiencies, managing business stakeholders, and building strong relationships. Additionally, the role involves maintaining close interaction with various teams and performing other duties as needed.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate should have at least five years of experience in a similar role, with expertise in developing and issuing tender documentation, both under OJEU and independently, and a solid understanding of Irish contract law. A relevant third-level qualification is required, along with experience in data manipulation and project management. The role demands knowledge of the end-to-end sourcing process, the ability to anticipate supply chain requirements, and experience in managing tender processes and escalations. The candidate should be well-versed in the legal aspects of contracts, including Irish contract and tax law, and capable of fostering effective working relationships within the Supply Chain team and the broader organisation. Additionally, they should be able to identify opportunities for service excellence, leverage existing strengths, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
