Your new role
This will suit an accountant with an acumen for data analysis and a passion for supply chain management. The position is available due to an internal promotion, it reports to the Head of Supply Chain and plays a key role in developing partnerships with the Supply Chain teams and Finance teams to drive cost optimisation and support growth strategy, support the creation of a data-driven culture and contribute to the delivery of the companies' 2030 strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team that delivers strong support to the wider Supply Chain network in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Working with colleagues in Supply Chain and Finance, prepare specific elements of Financial Planning outputs - 3YP, Budget and Forecasts - particularly the metrics that inform resource requirements.
  • Working with the Supply Chain Performance team, provide clarity to data capabilities and potential for further development as part of wider Data Strategy, with particular focus on optimisation of PowerBI / Datalake and rollout of Anaplan;s
  • Create value-adding dashboards and reports for Supply Chain teams.
  • Review of weekly and monthly performance reports to bring insight and drive improvement.
  • Support network stakeholders on ad hoc tasks.
  • Maintain and evolve reporting to match changing needs of the Supply Chain function. Ensure consistency of performance measurement across the network and identify like-for-like metrics that can benchmark depots in each division.
  • Identify performance issues in the network and escalate to appropriate team for resolution.
  • Work with Finance colleagues to ensure Supply Chain metrics are accurate and consistent with financial outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Experience generating insights from data, developing action plans and supporting delivery in a commercial environment
    and proven track record of delivering high quality results in a fast-moving commercial environment
  • Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well both on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Process oriented and a systematic problem solver
  • Strong communication, presentation and influencing Skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • Competent with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Data analytics experience including PowerBI and Anaplan would be an advantage.
  • Qualification in continuous improvement e.g. Lean six sigma, Green or Black belt LEAN or evidenced interest and potential to learn same would be an advantage.
