Your new role
- The ability to develop java and spring based applications along with troubleshooting Python-based applications.
- Create weekly/biweekly/ROD change tickets and ensure that the change management protocols and standards are thoroughly practised.
- Interact with the Prime Finance support team in a weekly manner to monitor and react on observability insights in advance.
- Liaise with the development team on urgent production issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Understand the application stack end to end to solve the emergency production issues.
What you'll need to succeed
- You will have 6+ years of experience in an Application Support and Software Developer role.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a developer on Java-based applications.
- Proficient in programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, Bash shell scripting, and SQL.
- Clear understanding of Data Structures and Object-Oriented Principles.
- Must have hands-on skills in SQL and basic data warehousing concepts.
- You must have an understanding of disaster recovery principles like RTO, RPO, and Green Zones.
- Must have an understanding of Linux, Bash and basic scripting along with basics like Unix group, and host group and basic cryptographic understanding.
- You must have a basic understanding of the basics of Microservice Architecture, Containerization and Orchestration.
- Experience with observability solutions like open telemetry, Grafana, Splunk, and ELK.
- Effective written and verbal communications, including the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-DEV staff can understand.
