12 month contract for a Site Architect in Galway

Your new role

Our client is seeking an experienced Site Architect to oversee a large scale project based in Galway. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role. The Site Architect will work closely with our Project Architectural Team, and Client Representatives, ensuring the works are executed in accordance with the Works Requirements, to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
  • You will assist the Project Architectural Team, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards are being achieved on the site, to include carrying out daily site inspections of the works and recording of projects status, issues to be addressed and record of quality standards to be achieved.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the clients site representatives, maintaining strong, professional relationships and effectively communicating project progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Monitor progress, ensure adherence to design specifications, and to assist the Project Architectural Team in resolving any on-site issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the design team including civil, structural, M&E engineers, landscape architects to deliver integrated project solutions.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with the Works Requirements, Building regulations and standards, and environmental standards.
  • Prepare reports monthly for inclusion into the Lead Architect’s monthly report.
  • Recording of all site inspections in a timely basis and regular review of the remedial processes carried out by the Contractors and their representatives.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate must have previous experience monitoring and managing the design process on an active construction site and coordinating with multiple contractors and clients. You must have a degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology or Structural Engineering. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
