Senior Regulatory Analyst

Here in Hays Recruitment, our Energy Provider client in Dublin is hiring a Senior Regulatory Analyst.

You will have a key role in developing and leading the delivery and implementation of the company’s regulatory strategy and engagement plan. This role is key to maintaining a regulatory relationship with the Commission for Regulation of Utilities and the SEM Committee on a range of issues.

Your new role

  • Act as primary point of contact for a business function/(s) and to senior management providing clear, concise and timely regulatory advice and support on regulatory deliverables and interactions, in both verbal and written format as required.
  • Acting as Group Regulation lead for specific complex regulatory and commercial deliverables and act as a point of contact for the Regulatory Authorities in respect of same.
  • Become an expert in upcoming and current priorities of the business function/(s), analysing their regulatory aspects and providing timely advice and input of high quality where required.
  • Lead cross-functional, multidisciplinary groups, as required, in the delivery of regulatory programmes.
  • Work to ensure key compliance objectives are delivered on time and are consistent with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop key internal and external stakeholder relationships to support delivery of regulatory requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A degree or recognised qualification in science, business, engineering, economics or a closely related discipline
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role, in a multidisciplinary environment
  • The ability to develop a strong network of key internal and external stakeholders to support delivery of regulatory requirements.
  • The ability to guide, persuade and influence others through developed skills of communication and diplomacy, and excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Experience of drafting policy papers independently and as part of a team for publication.
  • Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical abilities, coupled with the ability to make reasoned judgements based on available information
