Your new company

Your new company are one of the fastest-growing Irish companies in a FMCG industry which is consolidating at a rapid rate. Founded in the West of Ireland following a merger of several other businesses over a quarter of a century ago, the company has been a staple of the agricultural scene ever since. In recent years, following an ambitious expansion strategy the company has experienced unrivalled growth nationwide with turnover now topping €750m and 700 staff across the country. They are a champion of vertical integration and have a uniquely diversified business offering, there is no sign of recent expansion slowing any time soon.

Your new role

Your new role will sit within one of the major operating divisions within the company. You will report directly to the Finance Manager and will have 4 highly experienced direct reports across accounts receivable/credit control/cash management. The role is cyclical in nature and will involve deadlines around managing the full month-end process for your business, mid-month flash accounts and also reports around setting prices for retail and wholesale products. The role will also give you exposure to manufacturing in an FMCG setting with an element of cost accounting involved, inventory management, cost centre reviews etc.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a fully qualified accountant with a professionally recognised accreditation (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA). You will have at least 3 years post qualified experience, preferably with some exposure to a similar production environment but this is not essential as quality technical experience around accounts production is weighted more favourably. Exposure to people and team management is also considered advantageous but is not essential. You must be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills as well as time management skills. Excellent attention to detail is required for this position along with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

What you'll get in return

You will get a highly competitive market salary based on your experience, benchmarked at €60,000-€65,000 but may be flexible on this for the right candidate. There is a 10% annual bonus available depending on company and personal performance, a very generous 6% matched pension contribution scheme as well as a generous annual leave entitlement. Salaries are reviewed periodically and will increase over time with increase in responsibility. In addition, you will also get the opportunity to join a company that is rapidly growing opening up opportunities for progression across the Group.
