Your new role
The Senior Accountant will handle various aspects of the end-to-end accounting function, providing a dynamic and interesting role. This position is ideal for someone who is goal-oriented, diligent, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.

  • Manage accounting operations (Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Revenue Recognition).
  • Coordinate and direct budget and financial forecasts, and report variances.
  • Prepare and publish monthly financial statements.
  • Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
  • Document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Act professionally and ethically at all times.
  • Streamline and improve accounting systems and operations.
  • Oversee cash flow management and debt collection.
  • Supervise and manage financial department staff.
  • Manage the audit process and liaise with external personnel as required.
  • Ensure proper credit control and produce aging reports, taking action on old or bad debts.
  • Assist the Head of Finance with presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.
  • Lead responsibility for day-to-day IT matters in conjunction with outsourced partners.
  • Ensure data integrity and cooperate to protect company data and IT security.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate would be a qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA Accountant with over 5 years of experience in a similar role. They should possess a strong work ethic, the ability to work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines. Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills are essential. The candidate should have strong IT and systems experience, with proficiency in accounting software and other IT applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Access Dimensions or similar ERP systems is advantageous.

What you'll get in return They offer a competitive salary ranging from €60,000 to €65,000, along with a 3% pension contribution.
