Secretariat Analyst | 12 Months | Cork | Hybrid

Your new company

Your new company, a semi-state utilities organisation, is currently seeking a secretariat analyst to join the team on a contract basis for 12 months. The company also invests in new technologies for a cleaner energy future and provides a 24-hour emergency service to ensure network reliability.

Your new role

The Secretariat Analyst, reporting to the Company Secretary, ensures corporate policy documents comply with governance and legislative requirements. Key responsibilities include coordinating the annual review of the Code of Business Conduct, maintaining confidential registers, updating Ethics in Public Office return forms, and arranging updates to the corporate governance sections of the website. The role also involves maintaining company secretarial obligations, scheduling and preparing for directors' meetings and AGMs, liaising with Committee members, and managing responses to government information requests. Additionally, the analyst reviews contracts for execution and ensures compliance with best practice corporate governance requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate should have a third-level degree in Business or a related field, with a proven ability to build strong working relationships and gain commitment from others. They should have experience of identifying improvement opportunities, generating ideas, and implementing solutions. Excellent analytical and numerical skills are essential, along with the ability to identify and analyze problems and propose solutions. The candidate should be proactive in learning new skills, set high performance standards, and deliver results. Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication at all organizational levels are required, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize tasks, and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
