Public Sector Recruiter required

Your new company
A public sector client whose main objective is to enhance the safety of Irish transport.

Your new role
  • Be the recruitment specialist and support to the HR team for the duration of the contract term.

  • Be compliant with the requirements, policies and procedures of the client.
    • Be responsible for the collation and completion of reports and returns to management as required.
    • Collate data in a timely manner arising from Freedom of Information and Data Protection requests as it pertains to the work area.
    • Prepare files and reports for internal and external audit reviews in consultation with the relevant Line Manager as required.
    • Liaise with key personnel in the work area, across Directorates and across the organisation towards delivering an efficient and effective service.
    • Attendance at Team Meetings in team's own work area and updating of information to contribute to meetings
    • Be proactive in advising on implementing new Circulars, Policies, Procedures and Legislation which impact on the recruitment process.
    • Engage with the team in new campaigns and ongoing projects.
    • Engage with other relevant staff across the organisation in delivering on campaigns and gathering their business cases for resourcing requests.
    • Undertake quality assurance checks across all aspects of the work attached to the work area and other sections to include onboarding best practice and induction checks.
    • Review, update and maintain the RSA Careers Website in coordination with the Media with new and amended information.
    • Keep informed of any legislative changes impinging on the public sector and, in particular, public jobs and be proactive in preparing for any changes arising, including the introduction of the Capability Framework.
    • Identify and arrange to provide in-house training to new/existing employees as the need arises, as well as interview boards.
    • Manage queries from employees, candidates and stakeholders in a timely manner.
    • Carry out any other duties which may be assigned from time to time by the HR Team leader to support the HR team.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Excellent IT skills, including the full MS Office suit and all MS Team functionality.
  • Hold a level 5 (QQI Framework) qualification in HR or related subject.
  • Strong knowledge of general HR activities including HR best practices, employment monitoring and recruitment and selection processes.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience designing and setting up recruitment campaigns includes:
  • Defining role specifications
  • Advertising, applications, and information booklet generation
  • Adherence to the code of practice for appointment to positions in the civil service
  • Managing, training and running of interview boards
  • Managing candidate feedback
  • Experience of onboarding new starters includes:
  • Contracting
  • Onboard processing
  • Oversight of new staff settling in and induction
