They now require a Public Procurement Specialist to join their team on a one-year basis.

Your new role

The Public Procurement Specialist role is to support the company's procurement of research equipment over the next few years. The post holder will report directly to the Procurement Officer and will work closely with another colleague in an equivalent role. The primary responsibilities will include preparing tenders and contract documentation for research equipment, ensuring compliance with procurement policy and legislation, identifying areas of non-compliance and opportunities for cost savings, and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The role will also involve utilising various systems to maintain accurate records and conducting all procurement business with integrity and diligence in accordance with procurement best practice and Irish/EU law.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you need a strong working knowledge of public procurement rules and regulations, with at least three years of experience in a procurement role handling complex projects. Essential knowledge includes the practical application of contract law and sustainable procurement principles. You should have extensive procurement experience across capital, goods, and services, a broad commercial mindset from both public and private sector experience, a strong track record of results and delivery.
