Our client is a well-established Architectural practice based in Galway, that is committed to excellence. They specialise in various projects, of all sizes, from conception to completion. They are seeking to recruit an Architect or Technologist as a Project Architect to work on a variety of projects across Ireland. Candidates of various levels of experience will be considered. This position is permanent with an immediate start.

Your new role

This position would suit an individual with 6 or more years experience running their own projects. Experience working on large scale commercial, industrial and fitout projects. You will lead projects from inception to completion; this autonomy and personal ownership of design delivers self-fulfilment set within a framework of senior level support.
Excellent communication and organisational skills. The ability to use initiative and have excellent problem solving abilities. Excellent design and technical skills. Ability to produce computer generated plans/layouts/drawings. Participate in presentations, site visits, client meetings, subcontractor meetings and other meetings. Provide advice, technical direction and on-the-job training to staff. Keep the Directors informed of all circumstances that could affect projects or clients.

What you'll need to succeed

You will hold a degree in Architecture, Technology or related discipline. You will have BCAR and contract administration experience. Previous experience leading projects from conception through to completion, on industrial and commercial projects is an advantage. This practice largely uses AutoCAD and Revit.
