Our client is a leading organisation within the utilities industry. They are committed to growth. Innovation and sustainability continues to be top of their agenda. They now require a Personal Assistant to join their team in Cork on a temporary basis.

Your new role

The job is for a Personal Assistant in the Business Services department of this company, based in their Cork office. The candidate will report to the Administration Services Manager and work with a team of Personal Assistants to provide administrative support to all functions within the company. The job responsibilities include general secretarial and administrative duties as assigned. The role involves a variety of tasks, such as preparing and coordinating documentation for reports and meetings, managing diaries, arranging travel, typing and collating confidential correspondence, administering governance processes, placing orders and processing invoices, implementing new office systems and procedures, and maintaining records. The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring adherence to relevant company policies and procedures, developing a good knowledge of internal and external business contacts, and performing other duties as required.

What you'll need to succeed

The job requires at least 5 years of experience as a Personal Assistant and a Business Administration qualification would be desirable. The candidate must have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products and internal systems such as Oracle eBusiness, SharePoint, and Maximo, MyWork. The candidate must possess a professional manner with a proven record of the utmost discretion and confidentiality, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to take the initiative and be proactive. They should have excellent communication skills, time management skills, and be flexible in a changing environment. The candidate must strive for quality and ensure consistent high standards of work.
