Information Governance Senior Analyst - 8 - Month Contract - Dublin/Cork

This company is a reputable organisation within the public sector based in Dublin/Cork.

Your new role

  • Manage the ongoing work activities and training platform in relation to cyber awareness training for all organisation staff.
  • Manage the ongoing work activities in relation to the maintenance of GDPR compliance and data privacy.
  • Support the ongoing work activities in relation to implementation of security policies and procedures, best practices and staff awareness of them.
  • Support work activities including audit-related work to maintain ISO9001 compliance.
  • Support the implementation of data classification and record management for existing and new systems.
  • Oversee the maintenance of security compliance controls in MS Purview.
  • Support the implementation and management of user access controls.
  • Monitor and identify work areas within the organisational work program requiring Information Governance input.
  • Guide stakeholders to develop effective and efficient approaches to achieving the best information governance and assurance practices.
  • Actively contribute to the development of the information governance work program by investigating key requirements and development of outline solutions.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering with stakeholders and assisting the business in conceptualising the final solution in order to elicit, document and prioritise requirements.
  • Develop business processes, procedures and business rules, leading to new work processes for business units, training requirements and supporting ICT implementation where required.
  • Work closely with the Information Division and across organisational business areas on proposed solutions to ensure alignment with business needs and information governance requirements.
  • Report current status, risks and issues to the relevant managers.
  • Ensure reusability principles are embedded in the business process design and requirements in gathering.

What you'll need to succeed

  • To be eligible, candidates need a relevant degree or diploma.
  • 5 years of experience in managing business requirements (with 2 years in information governance), and expertise in GDPR, information governance, and process mapping.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and ICT skills are required, along with knowledge of SharePoint, ISO27001, and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification and CRM experience are desirable.

What you'll get in return

  • Pay rate between €50K- 58.5K per annum - pro rata (dependent on experience).
