Your new company is a property management organisation based in Dublin. They are seeking a skilled Management Accountant for an initial 6 month fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension or transition into other finance roles within the organisation. Your new role
As a Management Accountant, you will report to the Head of Finance and be part of a small, dynamic team. Your main role will involve a variety of tasks, including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and the preparation of monthly management accounts. You will also assist with year-end preparations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process monthly income journals and reconcile finance systems with donor databases.
- Review monthly grant income recognition entries.
- Distribute monthly management accounts for fundraising departments.
- Liaise regularly with budget holders regarding management accounts.
- Prepare and submit VAT and RCT returns.
- Review monthly supplier account reconciliations.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and related journals.
- Conduct value-for-money exercises on existing cost lines.
- Manage the evaluation process for new suppliers.
- Support junior staff members.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in a finance team, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or Accounting Technician).
- Excellent administration, organisational, and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidentially with a wide variety of people.
- Ability to innovate and self-motivate in a busy environment.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in staff management and support.
- Familiarity with Business Central/MS Dynamics/Solver
