Your new role
We are seeking a dedicated Loans Officer to manage and oversee the lending services offered to our members. The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO and ensure efficient loan processing within the authorised limits. Working in a small team, this is a hands-on position that will have you dealing with internal and external customers.
Key Duties:
- Authorise loan payments to members, adhering to established limitations regarding amount, duration, terms of repayment, and required security.
- Forward loans outside the officer’s remit but within the organisation's Credit Policy to the appropriate level for consideration.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records.
- Regularly report to the CEO/Assistant Manager, keeping them informed of all relevant matters.
- Act as Member Service Officer when required.
- Attend training programmes and workshops as needed.
- Comply with all Health & Safety regulations.
- Attend and contribute to meetings as directed by the CEO and board of directors.
- Undertake other reasonable and lawful duties as directed by the CEO.
- Strong understanding of lending processes and financial regulations, however we are willing to train you up in this area.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks.
- Commitment to providing exceptional member service.
