Qualified Electrician - Dublin

Salary:
€60,000 - €65,000 per year

A leading Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation contractor with projects in Ireland. They are involved in projects across many sectors, such as Healthcare, Education, and Commercial.
You will join a hard-working, ambitious team, and you will benefit from a supportive culture, where your ideas and contributions will be recognised. They are now looking to recruit an Electrical Tester for a Project in Dublin.

Your New Role
  • Responsible for inspecting and testing electrical systems and equipment and ensuring they comply with specifications, electrical wiring regulations and standards.
  • Keep records, compile inspection and test reports for issue to the site management team.
  • Reviewing and compiling test documents from specialist suppliers and subcontractors for inclusion in O&M and BCAR handover documentation.
  • Advising on non-compliant installations.
  • Inspecting wiring and terminations for quality and compliance.
  • Writing up recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensuring all test instruments have current calibration certificates and assisting in maintaining the test instrument register.
  • When not carrying out testing procedures, be available to carry out electrical installation work as required by the Project Manager or Site Supervisor.
  • Installation works shall include all aspects of low and extra-low voltage systems and include, but are not limited to, containment, cabling and wiring, final fixing, glanding and terminating.
What You Will Bring
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar position.
  • National Craft Certificate.
  • Qualified Certifier through a CRU accredited provider.
  • Current Safe Pass Certificate.
  • Current Manual Handling Certificate.
  • Current Abrasive Wheels Certificate (optional but preferred)
  • Thorough knowledge of the operation of company electrical test instruments.
  • Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade.
  • Skill in the installation of all types of electrical system equipment and components.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
