Your new company is a leading organisation within the utility industry. They are committed to growth; innovation and sustainability continue to be top of their agenda. They now require a contract system lead them to join their team in Cork on a temporary basis.

Your new role

The Contracts Lead Administrator in the Logistics Team is responsible for coordinating the supply chain process for stock. This role involves engaging with vendors to obtain quotes, evaluating supplier responses, and assisting in the procurement of materials from the point at which detailed designers produce the Bill of Materials. The administrator will manage procurement authorisations, liaise with the Supply Chain, and source materials from alternative suppliers when necessary. Additionally, they will support stores with inventory counts, ensure adherence to procurement policies, identify risks based on delivery lead times, and address enquiries regarding material availability. The role also includes resolving supplier invoice queries, preparing weekly and monthly reports, and performing other duties as required.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate should have 5 years of experience in a large organisation, with procurement knowledge being desirable but not essential. Relevant qualifications or experience in an administrative role are required. An understanding of commercial legislation and regulations for procurement in the utility industry is advantageous but not mandatory. The candidate should have experience of developing and maintaining effective strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally. Familiarity with Oracle or IBM Maximo is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong interpersonal skills, are essential. The candidate must be flexible and able to adapt to a changing environment, adjusting to new work structures, processes, and requirements as necessary.
