Your new company

Hays Recruitment Agency is a leading global professional recruiting group. We are experts in recruiting qualified, professional, and skilled people across a wide range of specialized industries and professions. Our deep understanding of the market and our commitment to excellence make us the preferred choice for both clients and candidates.

Your new role

As a Compliance Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Hays Office with compliance activities. Your responsibilities will include checking OneTouch candidate records, uploading candidate details onto systems, and inputting candidate diversity monitoring forms. You will complete candidate application forms, check eligibility and ID, and verify professional qualifications and memberships. Ensuring that Terms of Registration and Terms of Assignment for temporary workers are signed and attached to the system is essential. You will adhere to all parts of the Procedures Manual, track aftercare, obtain references, and manage CRB query rates. Additionally, you will assist with internal and external audits, implement and monitor new procedures and legislation, and check training documents.
In the business support aspect of the role, you will check the Daily IQL (timesheet query log), assist with general pay queries, and help with activity and business reports. You will also assist with temp payment by BACS, participate in database cleansing projects, and support ad-hoc projects. Liaising with Hays on-site teams, making contact with candidates, and working with the compliance team on various projects will be part of your duties. General administration tasks such as photocopying, printing, binding, inputting candidate CVs, and ensuring a regular supply of office forms will also be required.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate behaviour that supports the Hays values: expert, ambitious, inquisitive, and passionate about people. You should support the spirit of equality, diversity, and inclusion. Good interpersonal and influencing skills are essential, along with the ability to work under pressure and use initiative. Meeting deadlines, being proactive, and taking a flexible approach to work are important. You should demonstrate a high level of professionalism, be customer-focused, and have excellent communication skills. Being team-oriented and having demonstrable systems skills and experience are also required.

What you'll get in return

Enjoy a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your professional growth and work-life balance. This permanent role offers excellent opportunities for career progression, a competitive pension plan, and the flexibility of hybrid working arrangements. You'll also benefit from 23 days of annual leave, paid bank holidays, and the chance to participate in exciting company events. At Hays, we value our employees and strive to create an environment where you can thrive both personally and professionally.
