Job opportunity for a Civil Engineer to work with a well known consultancy with offices nationwide.

Over 35 years of experience successfully making designs a reality across infrastructure, transportation, marine, commercial, educational, residential, civic and industrial/logistics sectors. They provide a high level of service to both public and private clients in each of their disciplines across Ireland, the UK, and Europe, backed by a workforce of nearly 200 dedicated staff.

Your new role
Due to an expanding portfolio of projects nationally, an exciting opportunity has arisen in their Galway office for an experienced Civil Engineer. You will become a member of an enthusiastic and highly experienced team who will support the growth and development of talented engineers. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing services ranging from feasibility studies to detailed designs through to construction and completion of large national infrastructure projects. The candidate can expect to work on a wide variety of projects in both the public and private sectors. Mentoring by assigned members of our Leadership Team will be provided as part of either our Graduate Training Programme or direct mentorship post Chartership. Rapid career progression within an expanding team is possible for successful candidates.

What you'll need to succeed
  • You will hold a level 8 degree or similar qualification in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role with a design consultancy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong numerical skills and problem solving abilities.
  • Customer-focused with growing client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to mentor junior staff in developing their own technical expertise.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to balance tasks and prioritise to meet strict deadlines.
  • A current driving licence is desirable.
