This transport industry company are well known within the industry. They are seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant or Bookkeeper to join the well-established finance team, based in Dublin 17. This role is multi-faceted and would suit someone with ample experience in the Irish market, working in SME's and looking for the next step in their career.

Your new role

Your duties will include but not be limited to :

• Management account production to sign off
• Budget preparation
• Accruals and prepayments
• Weekly and monthly payroll processing
• Financial reporting
• Reconciliations
• Invoice processing
• Credit control
• HR Assistance - Pay queries, benefit queries, starter and leaver admin and other ad-hoc duties

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered, you must have the following :

• Exposure to payroll processing within the Irish market
• Experience bringing accounts to trial balance stage
• Previous experience in AR, B2B collections and cash allocation
• Sage experience at a high working level
• Fluent written and verbal English
• Full working entitlement (EU Passport or Suitable Visa)

Desirable but not required :

• Part Qualified ACCA / Fully ATI or similar qualifications
• Transport or logistics industry experience
