Your new company

This design and retail company are well known across Ireland, with steady growth year-on-year and ample room for further expansion in the future, it is an excellent time to join the team. This company boasts a low turnover of staff, with this newly created role due to the current FD taking a step into a part-time position. They are seeking an experienced finance professional to come on board and take on a number of duties while working alongside the Finance director.

The office is based in Ashbourne, and given industry demands, this role will be fully office-based to start.

Your new role

This is a varied role with requirements to take on administration, management accounting and other varied tasks on a daily basis. As there is a small finance and admin support team, they work together to ensure all is completed. This position covers 2 entities within the group.

Your typical duties will include :
  • Management accounts preparation to sign off
  • Annual accounts production
  • Audit preparation
  • General AP, AR and bookkeeping
  • Reconciliations
  • Cashflow management and treasury analysis at a group level (1 Irish, 1 UK entity)
  • Processing of a small monthly payroll for HQ staff
  • Tax returns - VAT, PAYE, and other returns
  • Intercompany transaction processing
  • General filing, office management and meeting coordination
  • Assisting suppliers, debtors and other external stakeholders with queries and more

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a part or fully qualified accountant, or senior bookkeeper (QBE) with experience working in an Irish SME, taking on multiple duties within the back office team. You will have ample experience producing accounts to sign off stage, completing and presenting financial reports and working on your own initiative to investigate discrepancies. You must have excellent communication skills. Exposure to the retail or manufacturing industry is an advantage but not required.

To be considered, you must hold a valid EU passport or full working Visa, and be in a position to travel to the office in Ashbourne 5 days per week.
