Exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist based just outside Cork City.

Your new role

• Ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments.
• Assist in month-end closing activities, ensuring all accounts payable transactions are accurately recorded.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and address vendor inquiries in a timely manner.
• Assist in the preparation of periodic payment runs
• Monitor and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies and maintaining positive vendor relationships.
• Process invoices accurately and efficiently, matching them with purchase orders and verifying approvals.
• Assist in the implementation and utilization of accounts payable software and systems.
• Streamline accounts payable workflows by implementing automation and efficiency improvements.
• Covering colleagues duties as required

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience (3+ years) in accounts payable or a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with automated accounts payable solutions is desirable. (Intact IQ &/or EI Trax a distinct advantage)
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
