Senior Structural Lead

Your New Role
As a Senior Structural Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing structural engineering projects from conception to completion. Your responsibilities will include:
-Leading structural design and analysis for a variety of projects.
-Conducting structural investigations and assessments.
-Preparing and reviewing detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
-Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
-Mentoring and developing junior engineers.
-Managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
-Responsible for the operational and commercial performance of the team, and reporting on same to Director/MD level.
-Lead and manage a team of structural engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and professional development.
-Oversee the design deliverables, ensuring ongoing high-quality standards are maintained.
-Managing the interaction between project team members, clients, stakeholders, and external subconsultants.
-Managing the team resources, delegating activities, and monitoring project budgets.
-Interaction with the Project Leads in other sectors or disciplines within the company, to ensure works are delivered as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
-Recruitment for a growing team.
-Client Relationship Management.
-Business development including tender and bid management.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To excel in this role, you will need:
-A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
-Chartered Engineer status, or equivalent.
-At least 15 years’ experience in structural engineering, with a strong technical background.
-Strong commercial awareness.
-Must be able to work well under pressure and have a proven track record of meeting deliverable deadlines to client satisfaction.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to lead, manage, and coach a growing team.
-Possess excellent professional/technical knowledge and skills.
-Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro).
-Strong knowledge of building codes and standards.
-A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving.
