Your New Role
As a Senior SCADA Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining SCADA systems for various civil and structural engineering projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • System Design and Implementation: Develop detailed designs for SCADA systems, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards. Oversee the installation and configuration of hardware and software components, particularly in the context of civil and structural engineering projects.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage SCADA-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, including civil and structural engineers, to ensure seamless integration of SCADA systems.
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide expert technical support for SCADA systems, diagnosing and resolving issues promptly to minimise downtime. Implement preventive maintenance strategies to ensure system reliability, especially in infrastructure projects.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, structural, electrical, and software engineers, to ensure cohesive project execution. Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide regular project updates.
  • Innovation and Development: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in SCADA technology and automation systems. Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance system performance and efficiency in civil and structural engineering contexts.

What You'll Need to Succeed
To excel in this role, you will need:
  • Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience with SCADA systems, including design, implementation, and maintenance. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical background in automation and control systems. Proficiency in relevant software and hardware tools.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Capable of diagnosing complex issues and developing effective solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate effective teamwork.
  • Educational Background: Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications in SCADA or automation systems are a plus.
