Your new company

As Airfreight Operations Manager, you will join a family run business who provides multi-modal transport, storage and distribution services globally. Your new office is conveniently located in Dublin North. They require you to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your new role

As Airfreight Operations Manager, you will manage the day-to-day airfreight operations within your new organisation.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to, overseeing and managing all aspects of airfreight operations, ensuring timely and efficient shipment handling, customs clearance, and delivery, along with leading and developing a team of airfreight coordinators and staff. You will also act as a primary point of contact for key clients; develop and maintain strong relationships with airlines, negotiate rates, and optimise carrier performance to meet operational needs; ensure compliance with all relevant international and local airfreight regulations; manage operational performance using KPI’s and all other ad-hoc duties that fall into your new role.

What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally have recent relevant airfreight operations experience including a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a managerial role. Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, manage performance, and foster a positive work environment is required. Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are essential as you will be communicating with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in using MS Suite is essential. A keen eye for detail and strong administrative skills are required.
