Vacancy for an Associate Engineer with a civil and structural engineering consultancy in Galway

This multidisciplinary consultancy in Galway City has a vacancy for an Associate Engineer to join their rapidly growing team. Examples of their work can be seen across the region, including residential developments, healthcare, education and civil projects. This is a great opportunity for those individuals that are looking for a role that will allow them to get involved in all stages of the project.

Your new role

As an Associate Engineer, your responsibilities will include planning, design, and management of construction projects. Conducting feasibility studies and technical investigations of sites to determine the viability of projects. Risk and Environmental Impact Assessment. Ensuring that sites meet all legal, health, and safety recommendations. Managing, directing, and monitoring the progress of projects as they happen. Discussing project requirements with other professionals such as architects and clients. You will lead a team of engineers and designers.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have a Degree or Masters in Civil / Structural Engineering. 10 years' experience in a design office, working on medium to large scale projects, including residential and commercial projects. Proficiency in REVIT/BIM. A successful track record of working closely in partnership with clients and contractors. A full licence and transport is required for occasional site visits. Previous Irish experience is essential for this role. Civil engineering proficiency is preferable, with experience in managing drainage, traffic engineering and siteworks.
