Senior Quantitative Risk Analyst

My Client, a prominent financial institution in Dublin, offers a range of services including corporate banking, investment banking, and wealth management. Located in the heart of the city, it plays a crucial role in the financial ecosystem, supporting both local and international clients with innovative financial solutions.


Your new role

The role involves supporting the delivery of ICAAP and regulatory stress testing initiatives by collaborating with model developers, validators, and the risk management group. Responsibilities include coordinating project work streams related to scenario design, stress loss calculations, economic capital, and governance. The position provides analytical support to risk specialists, integrates stress testing into Risk Appetite and decision-making, and evaluates stress testing risk controls and frameworks. Additionally, the role assists with information requests from regulatory bodies and engages in continuous process improvement. Required skills include experience in regulatory capital planning, familiarity with the EU regulatory landscape, and strong communication skills to present complex technical information clearly to senior management. Experience in mathematical modelling and understanding of various risk types in ICAAP and EBA Stress Testing is advantageous.

What you'll need to succeed

A successful candidate should possess a graduate degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Computer Science, with advanced degrees and exceptional academic records being advantageous. Additional qualifications like FRM, CFA, or CQF are beneficial. The role requires extensive experience in the financial services sector, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and fluency in English. Candidates should be highly motivated, capable of working independently and collaboratively, and able to perform well under pressure. Attention to detail and the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels are also essential.
