Hays has partnered with a well-known, leading not-for-profit in their search for an Employee Relations Specialist. This will be a 6-month contract based on-site in Galway.

Your new role
As the Employee Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to staff on areas such as but not limited to redundancies, wage negotiations, industrial relations, legislative changes. You will identify and monitor Labour relations risks, develop strategies to improve employee and Labour relations, and/or conduct complex investigations. You will handle employee complaints, managing the process alongside managers. You will collaborate with Legal Counsel when necessary, lead proactive employee relations initiatives and develop and deliver training as well as various other duties as needed.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have minimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar role; strong HR generalist experience with expert knowledge in an ER and IR. You will have strong negotiation and interpersonal skills. You will be able to work on initiative and multitask. You will have proven experience across industrial relations, understanding and implementing directives, wage negotiations, WRC, redundancies and more. CIPD qualification is desirable.
