Management/Financial Accountant Job - Dublin City - Professional Services - Hybrid Working
Your new company
A professional services company in Dublin City Centre, this company is an SME environment with a growing headcount. Their main client base are fintech companies, as well as some healthcare and semi-state clients. The company have new bright and airy services offices in a really central and well connected location in the city and they offer great benefits and great flexibility on hybrid working - after the initial training period you will only be required to go into the office 2 days a week.
Your new role
Reporting to Senior Management, you will be primarily responsible for producing monthly management accounts and variance analysis reporting for a portfolio of clients, but will also offer the opportunity to get involved in different projects such as system implementations, M&A projects, due diligence, assisting pitch for funding for high growth startups.
People Management
You will manage a team of 3 juniors - this will include delegating and reviewing work, coaching and mentoring and acting as their direct Line Manager in all aspects including managing career development and performance management
Your tasks and duties will mainly include management reporting, preparation of monthly management accounts and year end accounts, preparing corporation tax returns and assisting with forecasting and budgeting - this could include preparing annual budgets, preparing cashflow and revising budgets as a result and reporting on any variances.
You will also carry out KPI reporting, analysis on financial performance and will be required to convey these insights to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

In terms of stakeholder engagement, this role will liaise with internal team members, senior management and external clients and their management.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be a fully qualified accountant with a passion for people manageme n t. Previous people management experience is desired, but a real passion and aptitude for working with others will also be considered. Part-qualified finalists will not be considered for this role.
A practice-trained accountant with ample experience producing management accounts would be ideal for this role, but candidates from industry with strong financial accounting experience will also be a great fit for this role. Candidates with pure audit experience are not the best fit in terms of previous experience required for the role, as the organisation do not offer audit services.
You will need to have full working rights in Ireland as the company are not facilitating visa sponsorship.
You will need to be an ambitious accountant who wants to build a career here long-term and progress their career. They have a track record of promoting internally.
Experience liaising with clients/external stakeholders is advantageous, particular in terms of contract negotiations with clients
Knowledge of SAP, Sage and Xero is advantageous.
What you'll get in return
You will be rewarded with a salary of €60,000 - €70,000 for the right candidate as well as benefits such as full private medical cover, annual salary reviews every September, professional accountancy membership fees paid, pension (4%), discretionary Bonus (up to 10%), gym membership up to €500 per annum and 21 days annual leave increasing with service - loyalty leave up to 25 days per year.
Hybrid working offers you 3 days a week working from home and 2 days in the office, however initially you will be required in the office more. The more comfortable and competent you feel in the role, hybrid working will be implemented sooner.
