Your new role
As an Accounts Payable Associate, you will be responsible for processing invoices, ensuring timely payments within agreed credit terms with vendors, and maintaining accurate financial records. You will collaborate with internal colleagues across departments to resolve accounts payable issues and contribute to the overall financial health of our company.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Process invoices and verify payment compliance with vendor credit terms.
  • Review outstanding goods receipts reports and investigate any outstanding balances.
  • Interact with external vendors daily regarding payments, statements, and problem resolution.
  • Conduct internal meetings to address accounts payable issues.
  • Complete key tasks and reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely month-end reporting.
  • Perform monthly vendor reconciliations for key vendors.
  • Uphold internal controls to comply with financial policies and Global Control Standards.
  • Explore opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Maintain best practice documentation related to accounts payable processes.
  • Support the company’s efforts to comply with commercial, company, environmental, safety, and other legislation.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum of 2 years in a busy Accounts Payable environment, preferably in a multinational setting.
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritise tasks, especially during month-end.
  • Excellent team player with effective communication skills for collaboration across departments and with management.
  • Self-sufficient and motivated to work efficiently in a multitasking environment.
  • The ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and manage change programs.
  • Proactive in identifying and resolving issues, influencing others to implement action plans.
